Sustainable Jobs

Our hard-working families need sustainable, reliable jobs to continue to support their families.

In addition to the global pandemic, the damage caused by tropical storms in the past few years, and political unrest and instability that plagues Haiti, there is a growing, desperate need among Haitian families to come up with stable ways to support their children.

Historically, consider Haiti supplies our program families with goats to use the milk to feed their own family. While we will still supply goats to families, we have been working with our staff on the ground in Haiti to come up with other ways to support our program families. Our program families have ideas of other ways to provide sustainable income for themselves and we want to work with them to make these ideas a reality. One such way is our matching grant program.

Over the next few months, this $5,000 dollar to dollar matching grant will assist in the job creation of 9-12 sustainable jobs among the families in our program, help families buy, keep, and re-sell agricultural products, and give local consider Haiti staff, who know the economy and the area needs, the ability to work with the program families to be successful with these loans.

Consider Haiti, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all contributions are tax-deductible.
