Success Story - Daohne'e GEDEON
Even in Uncertain Times, Your Support Is Making a Lasting Impact
Haiti continues to face immense political unrest and uncertainty, but amidst the headlines and hardship, life-changing progress is still happening, thanks to your support.
At Consider Haiti, we remain committed to serving children and families through our core programs focused on clean water, sustainable nutrition, and community-based healthcare. The work is not easy—but it is working.
We recently received an uplifting story from our dedicated in-country coordinator, Eddy Profit, that reminds us exactly why this work matters, especially now.
“I am excited to share this encouraging story with you. Her name is Doahnee GEDEON, she is Elouwan Tench ABOITE’s mother who is one of the 30 children who was just released from the program in March 2025. During my last meeting with the families of these children, in a complimentary manner towards Consider Haiti, she spoke on behalf of all the mothers. The words she spoke about Consider Haiti made me think of the number of years the organization has already spent helping tens of thousands of families who find themselves in difficult situations, without respite. She asked me to tell you, among other things, that the families in her community who have just spent 6 months in the program encourage you and send many thanks!”
